Sheridan House Inn is open year-round. While the busiest tourist seasons are in the summer months, spring and fall are wonderful times to visit, and both the vast emptiness of the Grand Canyon and the peaceful snow-covered grounds of the Sheridan House can be glorious in the slower winter months. In fact, the canyon can be quite magical after a snow. Fall, with the golden aspens, is magnificent. Plenty of winter activities are options for guests to enjoy while in the area over the winter – but many just choose to come partake in the solitude and relaxation the Sheridan House Inn provides.

While we offer 1-night stays, we encourage you to fully experience the relaxing peace of the pine forest, intimate moments of romance in your beautiful room, and more of the area’s natural majesty by staying longer. A complimentary bottle of wine will be awaiting you on your getaway of 2 or more nights when you book direct on this website or by phone (and you’ll find our best terms and conditions when you book direct). Please indicate in the “special requests” section whether you prefer red, white or sparkling cider when booking your multi-night stay. Many of our guests often say they wish they didn’t have to leave so soon, so plan your trip accordingly. There are many options north-south-east-west for day trips, visiting the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and beyond; we’d be happy to help you plan your itinerary. Most of the year we do have 2-night minimums to our rooms with porches, including now our 2 rooms with private outdoor hot tubs.

Each of our guest rooms has features that will appeal to different individuals, so look over the descriptions to find the room uniquely suited to you. The views of the ponderosa pine forest from each of our rooms, along with our carefully selected decor and luxurious amenities, create an environment for you to escape from the world, relax, find solitude, and, perhaps enjoy the company of a special someone, for we know that the Sheridan House Inn can be a very romantic getaway. Room rates vary with the season. Rates are in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes. Please review our cancellation policy before booking your stay.

We continue to make improvements to all of our rooms, and in 2022 were able to upgrade all the tvs to smart tvs so you can stream from your services, as we finally got internet service capable of this. We also still have Dish network for live tv viewing, along with our collections of DVDs. We also completed many upgrades to rooms in 2022, including adding an outdoor private hot tub to the Sycamore Room (as so many of our guests complained that our Rosewood Room was “always full”). We have a Tesla charger available to our overnight guests at no charge, so make sure to check that you’ll need parking for that.

We contracted with Life Quest Training and Consultants for a full property evaluation for ADA compliance, and have created a detailed plan to implement phased renovations when readily achievable to remove barriers to ADA compliance of the property. When renovations are completed, the Sycamore Room will be ADA compliant, with a full bathroom renovation. We currently do not have wheelchair access; however, the Rosewood Room has the fewest stairs and is close to the dining room, and the Sycamore and Fernwood Rooms are on the ground level of the adjacent Guest House, and offer more accessibility for those with mobility limitations. We have added grab bars to bathroom areas in our lower level rooms. Please call the Sheridan House Inn to discuss specific options.

This cozy and earthy room is located on the top floor (up one flight of stairs) of our main house and offers a good budget-conscious room choice.  With two full-sized (double) beds, this room is ideal for traveling companions who desire separate beds. The private bathroom includes a tub with shower and a single sink vanity unit. There is a small table and chairs and a view overlooking the forested mountain area behind the inn.

Please note: the maximum occupancy for this room is 2 persons, even though there are two beds.  We cannot accommodate children; all guests must be age 16 or above. This room is accessed via one flight of stairs.

Located on the lower level of our main house (down 1 flight of stairs), the Oakwood Room features 2 private patios overlooking the front of the inn and the ponderosa pines; you’ll especially enjoy sitting out there at night, viewing the stars of the dark Arizona sky from the comfortable rocking chairs. Inside, snuggle up in the king bed or relax in the cozy seating area with a good book.  An armoire has storage if you wish to unpack. The private bathroom has a small corner shower, shelving unit and a single sink vanity.

The Oakwood Room is the only Sheridan House Inn room that is dog-friendly. You will need to purchase the 1 Dog or 2 Dog “Pooch Package” add-on to your stay and agree to adhere to our “Pooch Package Policies.” More information

Enjoy views across town when you stay in our Aspen guest room located on the top floor of our main house (up one flight of stairs). A big comfortable king bed awaits you where you will sleep soundly in the peaceful surroundings – open the windows and listen for the aspens quaking outside at the top of the driveway or look out the large windows at the green or fall golden aspen trees, bringing nature inside.  You can plan for adventures for the following day at the desk with chairs for 2.

The spacious remodeled private bathroom is light and airy and includes a walk-in rain shower and a large granite-topped vanity with his & hers vessel sinks.

Enjoy views across the pines and over Williams when you stay in our Willow King Suite located up one flight of stairs of our adjacent Guest House. Willow is our only 2-room suite, consisting of a bedroom, separate sitting room, and attached bathroom. The bedroom has great views, a large comfortable king bed, smart TV and DVD player, desk and a large closet for storage, ideal if you are planning to stay a while!  Relax, read a book, catch a little TV or watch the birds in the pine trees from the comfort of the cozy sitting room, which was remodeled in 2022 and now has a loveseat and coffee table perfect for a breakfast delivered to your room (always at no charge), and an additional TV and DVD player. There are times when one of you desires staying up later or going to bed earlier, and that makes the Willow Suite a perfect option.

The small bathroom was remodeled with a luxurious walk-in shower and granite-topped vessel sink vanity. Willow is ideal for couples looking for privacy and comfort.

You’ll almost believe you are staying in a tree house when you stay in the Cedar Room, as all you see out the large windows is the beautiful Ponderosa Pine forest.  The Cedar Room is up one flight of stairs in our adjacent Guest House.  You may just never want to leave this room, with those views of nature out the bay windows as you relax in the comfortable king bed, or while enjoying the overstuffed chairs for two. New furniture, lighting and art in 2022 has made the Cedar Room a guest favorite. Cedar offers an intimate yet spacious environment, and the large closet makes it ideal if you wish to stay a little longer!

Indulge yourself and a special someone by staying in our Fernwood room with its private wrap-around covered porch.  The plush king bed awaits, or maybe you prefer relaxing on the leather loveseat just big enough for the two of you. The spacious, bright and modern private remodeled bathroom features a large walk-in rain shower and his and hers vessel sinks with plenty of vanity storage.

Best of all is the Fernwood wraparound covered porch overlooking the pines in front of the Guest House.  There is a plush loveseat, additional seating for two, and our 4-person unique wicker table/chairs combination sets. You’ll spend much of your time enjoying this retreat area looking out at the ponderosa pines and aspens.  In fact, why not have your breakfast delivered here – no need to even change out of your pajamas!  The table for 4 is great for those times when friends or family travel together – many a night have had some great card games out on the porch. There is even a heater over the table for when our nights get chilly.

Sycamore has undergone a major renovation in 2022, with the projected completed in June. Sycamore is now the perfect room for a retreat to relax and unwind, located on the ground floor and the largest of the rooms in our adjacent Guest House. Perfect for a romantic getaway, you may just want to snuggle in the king bed taking in the pines outside the new sliding glass door to your private patio. Enjoy a cup of coffee, or maybe a glass of wine, in the seating area in front of the large bay window overlooking the forest on our plush swivel chairs. An electric fireplace was added for some romantic ambiance for your stay. A remodeled very spacious luxury bathroom with walk-in rain shower and granite-topped vanity includes his and hers vessel sinks.

Head out your sliding door and down a few steps to your private brick patio on the side of the building facing into the forest. A 4 person glass-topped table with swivel rocking chairs is perfect for a private breakfast, weather permitting, and newly added overhead lights make for delightful evenings for 2, or one of the “Stay In the Inn” dinners with your own private dining area.

Best of all is your private hot tub, complete with aromatherapy. The hot tub is in a covered patio area, tucked into the forest, and has privacy curtains to use if desired, along with mood lighting. It faces the forest where strategic spotlights in a trees give a romantic glow to the hot tub experience.

Rosewood is the perfect getaway when you are ready for an indulgent retreat from the world. It is the newest room and has many upgrades not found in the other rooms. There are forest views out every window, so you may see a fox or javelina while enjoying each other’s company on the loveseat as you watch the large-screen curved TV. The oversized king bed has a high-end luxury mattress in front of an LED fireplace to set the mood. The exceptionally large bathroom has a stone topped vanity with his and hers vessel sinks, a separate make-up vanity and mirror, and features a massive walk-in shower with lighted rain shower. Best of all, a secluded private patio overlooking the forest has a hot tub just for Rosewood guests to enjoy year-round, along with a love seat and table-for-two all under a custom pergola. Reserve Rosewood for a special occasion for the two of you – proposal, anniversary, honeymoon, birthday – or “just because” you are worth it.

Rosewood is located on the ground level of the main house, in a wing apart from other guest rooms, with no other guest rooms above or below it, offering not only the most luxury, but the most privacy.
